Hair Archives: Giovanni Cosmetics 50:50 Balanced Conditioner Review

Giovanni Cosmetics 50:50 Balanced Hydrating-Calming Conditioner

Price: $7.99 for 8.5 oz (Prices may vary)

Where to buy: High end beauty stores (Ulta), Amazon and various websites on the Internet, some Target, Walmart and Walgreens locations.

Product Description: Enriched with certified organic botanicals. No animal by-products. Cruelty free. Replenishes dry, brittle hair. Infuses moisture and exceptional shine. Provides manageability and a healthier feel. Balance. It’s half of this and half of that. The perfect mix, the perfect match. Ideal for reawakening dry hair to the wonders of moisture, this conditioner works its magic on a daily basis. A blend of organic ingredients and protection factors make dull hair the life of the party.
Key Ingredients: Ingredients: purified water, aloe vera leaf juice, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, glycerin.

My Review: The first thing I notice about hair products is the really thick consistency. I also love the smell, this product has a wonderful light floral scent. I used the product on damp hair, and used it as directed. I applied a quarter sized amount to each section. This product coated my strands very nicely and evenly, and made them feel really moisturized.

Here is how my hair looked after I applied the conditioner to my hair:

Rinsing out the conditioner was easy. After leaving it on for just a few minutes, it left my hair feeling great and helped define some of my curls. My hair was VERY soft when I washed it out, and even still smelled like the conditioner.

Here is what my hair looked like when I washed it out:

My Final Comments: I LOVE the consistency of this conditioner. I think it will be excellent for a cowash one day. My hair felt VERY moisturized and loved this conditioner. The only issue I have is the bottle shape, I know once I get to the bottom of the bottle, squeezing out the remainder of the product could be problematic, but that can be solved by letting it sit upside down for a little while. The price is great, and this product is easily accessible. Would I buy this product again? YES!
I would like to say that I am not recommending this product. This is just my review for it. Before you purchase any product I would say do your research, check out the ingredients, and what other people say about it. But remember, what works for one person may not work for you!
