Fashion Friday (Flashback Edition): Someone Take her Picture, So I Don't Forget Her...

If you haven't already heard, I've decided to consolidate my old blog and move the content over to this new one. While digging through old blog posts, I found my very first fashion Friday post/photoshoot! It's from January 2013 - and my have things changed since then! Well - here it goes:

Hey everyone! As mentioned earlier this week on my Facebook page, a friend of mine to an event called Project NYC, a trade show for menswear for the coming Fall 2013 season. It was pretty cool, we got to preview a bunch of great brands with some really unique pieces, hang out, get our makeup done, and have a photoshoot!

As promised, here are the pictures from that day. BUT keep in mind we did NOT know that we would be photographed that day, we have no prior experience, and it was a little intimidating/overwhelming at first. There were some GORGEOUS real models there who literally stood there with a blank expression and weird posture and made it look chic. When it was our turn to get in front of the camera, all we could do was smile, and to loosen us up the photographer made us laugh a little =)

P.S. The title of this post comes from the Shwayze song called Polaroid.

A lot of you loved my outfit, especially my pants. Here's the details on my outfit:
Blazer: Forever 21
Top: Thrifted
Pants: Forever21
Shoes: I can't remember

In terms of makeup, which I know nothing about, the makeup artist used way too many things to keep track of: a highlight, concealer, blush, liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow, eye primer, lip primer, lipstick, lip gloss, etc. But she told me that if I wanted to recreate this look that I could use MAC Amber Lights Eyeshadow and Stila Lip Glaze in Mocha.

My hair was done by me, I have a tutorial on my youtube channel on how I did them. I wish my hair was out for this, mynatural hair would have looked SO much better!

All in all, it was pretty fun once we got over our initial shyness and loosened up.

Thanks for reading =)
